adidas’ Sock versions of the NMD franchise first launched in 2016, after the silhouette initially rose to prominence. This year, they are bringing it back with the NMD S1 Sock, which arrives in ‘Core Black’ this Fall.
adidas has reinvented their famous NMD franchise over the past few years, breathing new life into the immensely popular line with new silhouettes and technologies. Recently, the NMD S1 has become the flagship model, boasting a unique sole unit and newly engineered knit upper. This week, we got an early look at the new S1 Sock, a return to the first few years of the NMD family with a laceless, Primeknit bootie for an upper. The new version features a much higher cut than previous renditions, extending high above the wearer’s ankles for a snug fit. The silhouette is seen here in a simple ‘Core Black’ color scheme, from its patterned knit upper to the semi-translucent, Boost-filled midsole.

adidas’ upcoming new NMD S1 Sock silhouette has not been given an official release date, though we expect to see them debut sometime early this Fall season. Dressed in ‘Core Black’ for its initial launch, the high-cut knit silhouette will be available from both the brand’s website and select retailers for $220.
