Ronnie Fieg’s relationship with New Balance began well over a decade ago, and has continued to this day with exciting new releases on a regular basis. This week, the Kith founder teased a new “Tornado” 990v3, coming soon.
Ronnie Fieg’s immensely popular Kith brand has been well-established in the world of footwear for quite some time, with Ronnie himself largely leading the store’s collaborative efforts across a number of well-known labels. However, one of the strongest bonds between Kith and a sneaker brand is with New Balance, the Boston-based running shoe brand who’s sneakers date back over one hundred years. This week, Ronnie teased another upcoming project from Kith and NB, this time returning to the 990v3, a personal favorite of ours, and apparently Mr. Fieg’s as well. Currently known as the “Tornado” colorway, this look mixes shades of steely grey across the mesh and suede upper, as well as some lighter shades to help with the overall contrast. 3M reflective panels add some flash to the mix, while cream white laces complete the look.

The latest project from Ronnie Fieg’s Kith and New Balance, the “Tornado” grey edition of the 990v3, has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in the coming weeks. Given the recent release procedures, special priority for these pairs will be given through Kith’s Loyalty email club, with a price tag likely in the $200 range.
