Kith has been celebrating ten years in business throughout 2021, a celebration that looks to continue into 2022. This week, we have an early look at a “Dusty Rose” version of the 990v1, coming soon.

The partnership between Kith and New Balance begins even before the New York City-based retailer was founded ten years ago, dating back to Ronnie Fieg’s original footwear design work at David Z. Now, Fieg and New Balance work together on a near monthly basis, working on both SMU colorways exclusively for Kith, as well as more limited-edition collaborative product, where Fieg typically spends the most time pushing boundaries and convincing brands to let go of some of their older branding rules and requirements. This week, we got our first look at an upcoming project from New Balance, highlighting Kith’s ten-year-anniversary with a limited “Dusty Pink” release of the 990v1. Ostensibly the most important New Balance shoe of the modern day, the simple design takes on the signature Dusty Rose tone across a mesh and suede upper, adding silver reflective New Balance ‘N’ logos as well as ‘KXTH” branding on the tongues.

KITH X NEW BALANCE 990V1 “DUSTY ROSE” RELEASE INFORMATION

Kith’s upcoming colorway of the New Balance 990v1 in “Dusty Rose” has not yet been announced for release, though we expect them to launch sometime early in 2022. The simple color scheme for the Made in USA pairs will likely come with a price tag of at least $180, releasing exclusively via Kith and likely through their Loyalty Program emails. Check out the early images below for a better look, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more New Balance release news.

UPDATE 6/12/22: Kith’s upcoming ‘Dusty Rose’ take on the New Balance 990v1 is finally ready to release, coming later this week on June 18th, 2022. While we have yet to see the retailer’s official images of the project, the latest Ronnie Fieg for New Balance collaboration has begun to release this week, meaning we will likely get a closet look in the next few days. Rehashing the 990v2 in the same colorway, this release is part of Kith’s tenth anniversary collection, as well as the fortieth anniversary of the 990 family.
