Earlier this year, Footlocker and adidas debuted a new project which tould take them from city to city, releasing limited edition iterations of the Speedfactory-produced AM4. After the initial launch in Tokyo, the two have traveled all the way to Milan, Italy for the next release.

The adidas AM4 has been used for a wide assortment of pop culture-focused collaborations in recent months. Starting with an ode to tennis legend Billie Jean King, the Speedfactory’s mainline silhouette then moved on to projects with Marvel’s The Avengers, dropping in two Captain Marvel and Thanos-themed colorways. Now, the Three Stripes are finally doubling back to their City Series collaboration with Footlocker after a few months off, delivering a new Milan-themed AM4 ripe with references to the world’s fashion capital. The new look begins with a plain white Primeknit upper, reinforced by a black suede heel counter embossed with upside-down adidas logos. The ever-present Three Stripes on either side are represented in black, with a shadow peeking out underneath in a faded red tone. The toe box is lined by a light tan overlay, while the words “Born and Bread in the Nine” run down the front of each shoe.
