Leah Sava Jeffries brought a pop of pink to the red carpet for the UK premiere of “Percy Jackson And The Olympians.” Based on the book series by Rick Riordan, the fantasy show — which Jeffries stars in alongside Walker Scobell and Aryan Simhadri — premieres on Disney+ on Dec. 20.
Jeffries soared while arriving to the Odeon Leicester Square in London for the occasion on Saturday night, thanks to a pair of platform pumps. The young actress’ style featured vibrant pink satin uppers with rounded toes and ankle straps, set atop thick block heels and tiered soles for a sharp height boost.
Pumps like Jeffries’ have given a whimsical retro take to the staple platform sandal, thanks to their chunky bases and monochrome color palettes. Pairs have been released in an array of textures, finishes and hues from labels including Stuart Weitzman, Valentino and Sam Edelman throughout the year, as well. In particular, Jeffries’ pair’s satin texture and bright pink tone leaned into both “balletcore” and “Barbiecore” aesthetics, which have been top trends throughout 2023.
Jeffries’ pumps also added a colorful finish to her equally colorful outfit: a dark blue minidress with a lightly flared skirt, which was covered in a jacquard pattern of blossoming orange, yellow, pink and purple flowers. The multicolored piece was whimsically paired with bow-post drop earrings strung with gleaming crystals, bringing the actress’ look a sparkling finish.
Audiences can discover the first season of “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” when it premieres on Disney+ on Dec. 20.
