COMME des GARÇON’s uses their various sub-labels to collaborate with different sneaker brands, diversifying their projects to include nearly every notable footwear company in the sneaker world. The Shirt team regularly works with Asics, and delivered their latest collaboration this month, which is still rolling out to retailers. Featuring the EX89, a retro basketball shoe revived by the Japanese brand this year, pairs come in either white- or navy blue-based colorways. Both styles feature a heavy dose of red accents for the inner lining and heel components, and are built with premium leather materials. Currently, some sizes are available from SlamJam, with a price of $420, though it remains unclear if this is the set price, or if stateside retailers will have some adjustment.
