Victoria Monét performed at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival both weekends. For her first performance, on Sunday, April 14, the “On My Mama” singer wore a pair of custom Nike V2K Run sneakers.
The shoes were made with mixed acrylic paints to create a custom color to match the fabric swatch of Victoria’s look. The sneakers were then dyed and followed with hand painted details to create this bronzed aesthetic.
For her outfit, Monét wore flowing pants, a matching bronze embellished overcoat and wide-brimmed hat.
While these bespoke V2K Run shoes are not for purchase, the style was first released in September 2023 and is now available in a range of colorways, including green, black, violet, mauve, white and more. Plus, there’s the option to design your own.
The V2K Run takes inspiration from the Nike Vomero 5, which came from the early-aughts running catalog. Now, the style includes a mesh upper, dual-density foam midsole, translucent plastic accents in reference to the classic Nike Vomero 5 and a rubber outsole for durable traction. The shoes currently retail for $110.
Following her Coachella performance, Monét took to Instagram to gush over receiving flowers from none of than Beyoncé. The singer showed the white bouquet and personalized note via Instagram Story on April 17. The message said, “Congratulations on your beautiful Coachella performance. Sending you love, B.”
The 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival began in Indio, Calif, on Friday, April 12. Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat were this year’s headliners. There was a No Doubt reunion, as well as performances from Chappell Roan, Reneé Rapp, Ice Spice, Jhené Aiko and more.
