Bad Fashion at Coachella 2024

Was it so bad it was good? That’s up for debate. The first weekend of the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif, kicked off on April 12, and some festival goers went with the more is more approach to their looks.

Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat headlined the event. There was No Doubt reunion,  performances by Chappell Roan, Reneé Rapp, Victoria Monét, Ice Spice,  Jhené Aiko and surprise appearances from Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish and Kesha throughout the weekend.

Attendees hit the grounds in what some may call “bad fashion.” There were plenty of over-the-top ensembles, which included fur boots, extreme patent leather platforms, Crocs and sneakers. While country core continued to trend at Coachella, some took Western style to new levels by mixing fringe, cow print, fishnets and cowboy hats all in one.

Other outrageous outfits included lots of face gems and sparkles, barely-there shorts, prints on prints and Y2k overload and not-so-breathable fabrics.

Despite some of these crazy looks, plenty of guests were able to strike the balance of being comfortable and chic at the same time. In the meantime, take a look at this year’s worst fashion at Coachella.
