Jaden Smith opted for casual style as he attended the opening night of the 23rd Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
The “Pursuit of Happiness” actor slipped into a pair of white sneakers for the event. The shoes were primarily covered by his wide-leg pants, however, the leather rounded toe peeked through the front. The sneakers were completed with an off-white rubber outsole.
Just above the sneakers, Smith wore a pair of black MSFTSrep wide-leg pants with a distressed hemline and the brand’s white logo embroidered onto the left pant leg. He added a black graphic T-shirt which he layered with a cropped black button-down shirt with circular pockets surrounding the center closure.
Smith accessorized with a sparkling silver-linked bracelet, a gold bracelet and a black beaded bracelet.
The “Icon” rapper is heavily involved in the fashion industry. Last week, he was seen sitting front row at Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2024 show alongside Venus Williams, Pharrell Williams, Cynthia Erivo. Smith has kept a close relationship with the brand since starring in the designer’s spring 2016 campaign. Earlier this year, he was tapped as Louis Vuitton’s first male-identifying womenswear ambassador.
During his interview with FN this past February, Smith spoke about subverting gender norms in the fashion space. “While more guys are starting to wear things that are traditionally looked at as things that girls would wear, girls have long worn things that guys traditionally would wear… People should dress how they want to dress.”
Over a decade ago, Smith brought his own ideas to the retail space with the clothing brand MSFTSrep, which he founded with his sister Willow and some friends. The brand just announced that they have collaborated on a pair of low-top court style sneakers with New Balance, which will be released later this week.
