Camila Mendes looked casually elegant arriving at the premiere of her new film “Musica” in a pair of sheer heels.

A closer look at Camia Mendes’ shoes.

Yesterday in Miami Beach, Fla., Mendes walked the film’s green carpet in a pair of tan sheer heels underneath her maxi dress. The actress, known for her roles in “Riverdale” and “Do Revenge,” is often spotted on red carpets and at events in hidden heels. Her shoes could not be fully seen under her dress’s long train, but the sheer vamp of her shoes visible beneath added a flair to her simple but elegant styling.

Sheer Shoe Trend

The sheer shoe trend first became significantly popular in 2023 but has continued well into 2024, continuing to gain traction in mainstream fashion. The trend, which involves combining sheer or see-through materials such as mesh, lace and transparent fabrics to the body of a shoe, allows the wearer’s toes or other part of their foot to be visible through the shoe.

The sheer shoe trend has been embraced by many designers in a variety of shoe styles from heels to Mary Janes. The trend has been seen in brands such as Sandy Liang, Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Steve Madden and Sam Edelman.

Camila Mendes’ Shoe Style

Camila Mendes is often seen at events and in interviews in heels. She has been spotted on several red carpets wearing a hidden heel under a long dress train but has also stepped out in a fully visible statement heel. In February, she was seen out and about in New York City in a bright red Reformation Noreen Slingback Pump.
