Camila Mendes brought a slick twist to red carpet glamour for Giorgio Armani‘s latest fashion show.
While in Venice, Italy on Saturday, Mendes arrived to Armani’s “One Night Only” runway — the latest iteration of the international event, which overlapped with the Venice Film Festival — in a dynamic all-black outfit. The “Riverdale” actress‘ footwear couldn’t be seen beneath her dress’ long hem, though the piece was likely complemented with pointed-toe pumps or heeled sandals given her penchant for the styles over the years.
However, Mendes’ dress took center stage for the occasion. Styled by Molly Dickson, the “Do Revenge” star’s attire featured a sheer nude base with a round beaded neckline, overlaid at its top with matte black silk strips to form the illusion of a sharply cutout bodice. The sharp piece then flowed into a floor-length skirt, similarly overlaid with thin black strips to form an open latticework texture — all strung with gleaming black beads, as well as patterned black palette sequins for a dash of added texture.
Dickson opted to accent Mendes’ attire with a black satin clutch and diamond stud earrings, complementing her gown with an elegant finish while allowing its textures and silhouette to take center stage. Meanwhile, Mendes’ boyfriend Rudy Mancuso also complemented her outfit as well, wearing a smooth black suit with silky lapels — completed by black leather boots and a classic white collared shirt.
Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only” Armani Privé fashion show was held in conjunction with the Venice Film Festival, featuring an afterparty with music by Mark Ronson. Guests in the star-studded front row included Kerry Washington, Jessica Chastain, Kelsea Ballerini and Cami Mendes.
The Venice Film Festival will feature international movies and cinematic shorts debuting for the new season. The 80th annual event is also taking place during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which has current interim agreements to allow U.S. actors to appear at the occasion. Aside from numerous premieres — including “Maestro,” “Priscilla” and “Ferrari” — the week will conclude with its starry amFar Gala, featuring performances by Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
