Nike ISPA uses their near limitless creativity and resources to come up with some of the most interesting sneakers in recent memory. This month, the advanced division unveiled a new iteration of the ISPA Drifter, coming soon in natural hemp construction.

Nike’s ISPA research division has released some interesting projects this year, but today we have an early look at a particularly enticing silhouette. Bringing back the Drifter from last year’s ISPA lineup, a tabi-toe’d mid-cut silhouette filled to the brim with technical details and unique materials. This release, however, adds an even more interesting twist, remixing the entirety of the upper in recycled or reused materials, with a focus on woven hemp construction. The new style casts the Drifter in a natural, undyed shade, likely attributing to the “NTRL” portion of the shoe’s name. Cork details appear on the shoe’s outsoles and heel clips, while ZoomX insoles round out the new release.
