The New Balance 992 will continue to debut in new colorways throughout 2021, with releases starting to heat up for the rest of the year. This week, we have a first look at a bold new color scheme, adding elephant print to the shoe’s mudguard, coming soon.

New Balance’s fan-favorite 992 has been releasing in new colorways on a regular basis for the past two years, a trend kicked off in honor of the shoe’s anniversary celebration. While we have seen plenty of fantastic in-line color schemes and even more exciting collaborations, this week we got an early look at an extremely interesting new iteration that adds what most sneakerheads recognize as the legendary Elephant (or concrete) pattern from the Air Jordan 3. The textured leather wraps around the entirety of the silhouette at the mudguard, set against on otherwise all black upper with white New Balance ‘N’ logos.
