New Balance has kicked off this year’s Grey Days collection already, upping the ante for 2024 by doubling the number of shoes releasing and spacing them out throughout May. Next week, the 1906R lands in a “Moonrock” neutral palette.
New Balance has made their own holiday over the last few years, in a similar manner to Nike’s Air Max Day in March. Grey Day celebrates the Boston brand’s history by offering some of their most popular models in simple grey color schemes, a look that NB has become well known for over the past few decades. This year’s collection features double the amount of sneakers from the 2023 series, covering lifestyle, basketball, running, and skate shoes. On the lifestyle front, the 1906R is one of their main in-line silhouettes, and makes its Grey Days debut next week. The model features two of NB’s off-white/grey tones named for the moon, Moonrock and Moonbeam, across its mesh and leather upper. Accents in sea salt white appear for the ‘N’ logos and midsoles to balance out the palette.

New Balance’s latest colorway of their 1906R silhouette for this year’s “Grey Days” collection has been scheduled to release next week, on May 17th, 2024. The warm grey “Moonrock” color with sea salt white accents will be available from both NB’s website and select retailers for $165.
