New Balance’s U.S. factory is seemingly back to work, producing new Made in USA limited colorways of our favorite models. This week, the classic 1400 receives a new “Steel Blue” upgrade, launching initially overseas.

New Balance’s MADE series is the source of some of the most well-crafted sneakers in the world, highlighting the brand’s famous in-line numbered silhouettes with premium materials and a level of quality only achievable through hand-made means. Luckily for us, New Balance has the means to produce massive amounts of Made shoes on a regular basis, allowing for monthly releases of fresh styles and colorways. This week, we got our first look at a new “Steel Blue” color scheme of the vintage Made in USA 1400 runner, which debuted in Japan earlier this week. Featuring grey suede overlays and hints of cream white, this pair adds a steel blue mesh toe box and matching ‘N’ logos, while pale blue laces complete the new Made in USA look.
