Philly staple Lapstone & Hammer is bringing their dyeing skills to a new Asics project this week, releasing a limited number of hand-dyed GEL-NYC and GEL-1130 models.
Philadelphia’s Lapstone & Hammer has released a number of special hand-dyed projects over the past few years, transforming simple garments with new colors and patterns through a variety of partners. For their first release of 2024, the shop has teamed up with Asics and Standard Issue to release the “Indigo Dip-Dye” pack, taking the GEL-NYC and GEL-1130 models and giving them a fresh blue look. Limited to just 100 pairs in total, each sneaker is hand-dyed by the Lapstone team, and no two pairs are exactly the same. In addition to the sneakers, an indigo-dyed collection of Standard Issue apparel will be available, featuring cardigans, hoodies, sweatpants, and tees.

The limited run of hand-dipped indigo dyes sneakers from Lapstone & Hammer and Asics are set to release this weekend, on February 3rd, 2024. Featuring the GEL-NYC and GEL-1130, pairs will go for $180 and $160, respectively, and are limited to just 100 total pairs.
