The winners from adidas Consortium Cup competition continue to roll out this week, with Extra Butter launching their Rivalry Low inspired the cult Japanese action movie Battle Royale.

One year ago, adidas introduced the Consortium Cup, a fan-voted tournament of sneakers designed through their Consortium label partnerships. Releases have included a heavy emphasis on classic models, from collaborators like Nice Kicks, BSTN, END. Clothing, and more. The last release from the series was END.’s “Future” ZX 8000, which will be followed by Extra Butter’s “Battle Royale” Rivalry Low this week. Inspired by the cult-classic Japanese film Battle Royale, the model boasts a range of materials and colors. The look features a nylon base for the toes and perforated leather for the rear sections, both in white. The shoe’s overlay panels and heel counters come in smooth sand brown leather, with cracked leather covering the heels and stripes. These panels also feature jagged, unkept stitching around the edges, with loose pieces hanging down towards the off-white midsole. Finally, a thick red stripe runs down the tongue of each shoe.
