AWAKE NY and Asics are gearing up for their first release of 2022, following up on their GEL-Kayano 21 project from late last year. This time, the two have crafted three eye-catching colorways of the GEL-Lyte III.
Asics and AWAKE NY debuted their partnership back in 2019, dropping two colorways of the Gel-Kayano 360 that dominated the year’s ‘Best Of’ lists. Since then, the two have continued to release new projects on an annual basis, with AWAKE founder Angelo Baque taking a leading roll at the Japanese footwear brand’s Asics Collective. Now, the two brands are gearing up for their first release of 2022, highlighting the classic GEL-Lyte III runner in three fresh colorways. The first of the three is simple, featuring an off-white base layer with lush green suede making up the shoe’s overlay. The second mixes a bright blue underlay with brown suede outer portions, while the third style pairs black mesh with vibrant purple suede. All three pairs feature AWAKE’s signature wordmark on the outer heels to complete the look.
AWAKE NY X ASICS GEL-LYTE III RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest collaboration from Angelo Baque’s AWAKE NY and Asics has not yet been officially announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime this season. Featuring three colorways of the classic GEL-Lyte III, pairs will be available from both the Asics and AWAKE websites, with a wider release likely to come.
