Asics’ is gearing up for a spooky release this week, dressing the GEL-Lyte III in a very timely ‘Superstition’ color scheme, releasing on Friday the 13th.
With Halloween rapidly approaching at the end of the month, sneaker brands are dropping some seasonal releases for the occasion. We’ve already gotten a good look at Nike’s ‘Headless Horseman‘ pack, as well as Puma’s simple ‘Pumpkin‘ Suede color scheme. Asics, on the other hand, has opted for a more interesting drop this month, timing up the new ‘Superstition’ GEL-Lyte III to release on Friday the 13th, the second one of the year, but arguably a much spookier one in October. For this release, they’ve covered the GLIII in a dark color scheme, which begins with an inky black suede base layer. The toes feature a light grey mudguard, which matches the laces and Asics logos, while shaggy black suede is added to the midfoot. Finally, hints of yellow along the medial sidewalls, toes, and the ‘XIII’ embroidery on the tongue completes the look.
