This week, Ronnie Fieg and Asics released their Knicks-inspired colorways of the EX89 silhouette. Now, the Japanese running brand has unveiled a new ‘NBA Pack’ of the retro basketball model, coming soon.

The Asics EX89 silhouette originally released in 1988, bringing the Japanese running brand’s style to the basketball court with a durable leather model and wide, comfortable soles underfoot. The model has since been dormant, until this week when Asics expert Ronnie Fieg teamed up with the brand to revive the shoe, crafting three colorways in his beloved New York Knicks’ colors. Now, it appears Asics has plans to add the shoe to their in-line offerings, with this week’s unveiling of a new ‘NBA Pack’. Featuring three colorways, pairs are styled after the Celtics’ green and white, the Lakers’ purple and yellow, and a red/blue combo for the Detroit Pistons. Each style follows a similar color blocking, with white leather underlays and colorful accents for the brand’s logos, outsoles, and inner lining.
