adidas Originals continues to drop new colorways and styles of the revived Forum Low this year. Today, we have an early look at the new “Fringe” pair, which adds some extra threads hanging off the signature Three Stripes.

The adidas Forum has been on fire since the Originals brand revived the classic basketball shoe late last year. Kicked off with a series of super-limited special-edition projects, the Forum then released in its “84” form, recreating the original version from 1984 as closely as possible with high-quality materials. Now, adidas is getting ready to introduce another new version of the court staple, the Forum Low “Fringe”, which adds some new detailing in the form of bright red stitching. The first major change removes the Forum’s signature strap from the ankle, leaving two leather flaps usually used to hold said strap in place, box stitching them together with red thread to point out the change. Next, the black Three Stripes also feature outlines in red, with about an extra inch of thread hanging off of the bottom of each one.
