Last week, Anthony Edwards donned the low-top version of his adidas AE 1 to celebrate the NBA playoffs. Now, we have an early look at an “MX Grey” colorway of the updated silhouette, coming this Summer.

Anthony Edwards first signature shoe with adidas, the AE 1, is one of the best new signature models on the market. The shoe is relatively simple on paper; a textile inner bootie paired with a a rubberized outer layer. Then, they add the best cushioning adidas has to offer, Boost and LightStrike. Next, you add a bunch of excellent colorways, and you’ve got a hit sneaker. New colors like the “Georgia Bulldogs” look are popping up regularly, but last week, Ant debuted the AE 1 Low for the start of the NBA Playoffs. This week, an “MX Grey” version of the more minimal sneaker appeared, dressing the inner textile in black and giving the TPU outer sections a marbled grey and tan color palette.
