Queen Camilla Goes Blue in Sole Bliss Pumps for Versailles State Dinner With King Charles III

Queen Camilla took a monochrome approach to dressing for a state dinner in France.

While arriving with King Charles III to the Chateau de Versailles in Versailles, France, on Wednesday, the royal wore a pair of dark blue Sole Bliss pumps. Her low-heeled $279 Carmen style featured a pointed-toe silhouette with thin soles, complete with thin heels totaling 2.5-inches in height for a balanced base.

The low-height shoes were paired beneath a sweeping blue Dior couture dress, which featured a woven-trimmed cape atop a matching dress with a floor-length skirt to create a monochrome moment.

Camilla opted to formally elevate the set with a historic set of royal jewelry: Queen Elizabeth II’s George VI Victorian Suite, a diamond-trimmed necklace and matching earrings set with large blue sapphires. The jewelry was originally given to Elizabeth as a wedding gift by her father King George VI in 1947, according to The Natural Sapphire Company.

The royal’s blue attire also matched that of the dinner’s hostess, Brigitte Macron, who similarly wore a dark blue formal dress with complementary high heels for the occasion.

When it comes to shoes, Queen Camilla has frequently worn Sole Bliss and Chanel’s block-heeled pumps in a range of neutral, navy and pink tones over the years for formal occasions. In winter months, these are occasionally swapped for knee-high suede or riding boots; all are often worn with single-toned outfits, similar to her predecessor, Queen Elizabeth II. Camilla’s style is also punctuated by her extensive handbag collection, which primarily features clutches and top-handle bags by Chanel, Fendi and Demellier London.
