Alexis Sablone Reveals Her Nike SB Dunk Low Collaboration

The CONS Skate signature athlete lends her talents to the Swoosh.

Alexis Sablone Reveals Her Nike SB Dunk Low Collaboration

Alexis Sablone broke ground for women skaters across the globe, joining the super-exclusive an admittedly all-too-small group of women who are signature shoe athletes in the sport. The MIT architecture grad debuted her shoe, the Converse AS-1, at New York City’s Guggenheim Museum; since that launch, a slew of colorways have donned the low-pro shoe, one that’s been well embraced by the community. Sablone is now lending her eye to the Swoosh as she gives a first look at her upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration on Instagram.

Immediately standing out is the cobblestone texture of the suede upper, colored in olive green with splotches of fuchsia pink at the forefoot. A premium white leather acts as the base, while a muslin-tinted midsole joins a dark green outsole. Alongside her SB Dunk is yet another colorway of her AS-1 signature shoe in white and pink, and given the similarities in the textured leather of the Converse counterpart, these two could be dropping in tandem as part of a pack. It’s possible the the exterior layer of paint wears away over time to reveal the fuchsia layer underneath.

Official release details and design inspiration will likely be shared soon, so stay tuned for updates while we await more developments.
