Up Close With The New Balance 1000 “Angora/Moonrock”

A sprightly edition of the spotlighted model emerges.

Up Close With The New Balance 1000 “Angora/Moonrock”

At long last, it seems like the era of the New Balance 1000 is finally upon us. With the Joe Freshgoods New Balance 1000 recieving a date just yesterday and the “Silver Metallic” 1000 emerging last week, the earnest rollout of the revived model continues with an “Angora/Moonrock” colorway.

One of the first pairs to begin circulating online, it’s an overwhelming vintage edition, the two titular shades of “Angora” and “Moonrock” imbuing an aged atmosphere from head to toe. However, new retailer images by way of Stoy allow us to suss out some more playful aspects, with baby blue and soft pink at work in small hits throughout the shoe. Construction-wise, the heavy leather panels and chunky sole unit add a new dimension to the already sturdy NB catalog, tackling ever-present Y2K trends from a refreshed, novel direction.

The New Balance 1000 “Angora/Moonrock” is currently slated to release late Summer 2024, carrying a $150 retail price. Enjoy some detailed retailer images just ahead.

In other NB news, the New Balance 550 added some new eye-catching colorways, including the New Balance 550 “Pine Green.”
