Converse Is Ready To Launch The Weapon Ox In More Colorways

The past 12 months have been absolutely huge for the Converse Weapon. Between Shai Gilgeous-Alexander-led promo and collaborations with Kasina, Undefeated and just a few days ago, A-Cold-Wall, the One Star brand is putting as much momentum behind their archival shoe as imaginable. Of course those pairs will warrant attention, but the obvious end goal is building buzz around the Weapon settle back in as a mainstay of the Converse family. That next step in that plan has now been revealed with four new colorways of the Converse Weapon Ox set to drop in the coming weeks.

The four pairs featured in this upcoming drop all run parallel to each other in terms of their colorways, arriving clad primarily in white on the upper. The midsole gets an aged off-white refresh, and the three pairs in “Red,” “University Blue” and “Vintage Green” wear contrast colors on the midsole, sock liner and below Star branding on the sides.

This reads as a a cognizant play to utilize the time-honored palettes that have graced other retro low-top silhouettes like the New Balance 550 or the adidas Stan Smith. In the end, those shoes are decent landmarks in relationship to the Weapon, a sneaker midway between its 1980s basketball origins and a potential new life as an everyday wear sort of shoe.

At the time of writing, product photos are all that’s been revealed in regards to this upcoming Converse Weapon Ox drop. You can find a gallery of each of the four colorways ahead, but stay tuned as more concrete details emerge.
