This is the second wide release of Devin Booker’s signature shoe and features an “Ashen Slate” (a blueish-grey) suede upper. It is said to be inspired by Booker’s unique and refined taste in cars. All eyes are on Devin Booker and the Nike Book 1 “Mirage”, the first wide launch of the next signature athlete under the Nike roster. This succeeds the first super-limited release event that went down last December in Art Basel, but All-Star Weekend will be the first opportunity for the Booker fanbase at large to secure a pair.

But just before we see the “Mirage” officially hit retail, official images of the “Ashen Slate” colorway has been revealed. Keeping to the lifestyle-skewed approach to colorways, Nike delivers another monochromatic execution of Devin Booker’s signature shoe in a faded blue tone. Certainly a bold move to go with the under-the-radar options, but let’s hope Booker pushes the Nike brass to get a little more creative with the colorways like the Player Exclusives he’s been wearing all season long.

Earlier reports have the Book 1 “Ashen Slate” pegged as a February 2024 release, but a firm date has yet to be revealed.
