The Nike Air Max 95 Gets A Simple “Black/Pure Platinum” Makeover

The Nike Air Max 95 Gets A Simple “Black/Pure Platinum” Makeover

It’s been 28 years since the Nike Air Max 95 debuted. Over that time span, the silhouette has gone from performance running model to lifestyle staple.

Since its debut, the sneaker has been associated with vibrant color palettes, but it’s also displayed an affinity for understated looks. Recently, Sergio Lozano’s iconic design emerged in a muted and versatile mix of “Black,” “Pure Platinum,” and “White” tones. The bulk of the sneaker opts for the darkest of the aforementioned colors, allowing for supporting details like the lace loops to revel in a grey touch. Branding follows suit, while the midsole favors a “colorless” finish that allows for the industry-pushing Air Max units to indulge in stark “Black” contrast. Lastly, the waffle-patterned traction underfoot rounds out the offering in a dark hue that complements the upper well.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch soon.
