Nike Adds A Collapsable Heel To The Kid’s Air Max 270 Go

Over the past decade, NIKE, Inc. has made a push to include the youngest sneaker fans in its plans. In addition to offering popular Air Jordans in Kids’ sizing, the Oregon-based institution has also tailor-made designs like the Nike Air Max 270 Go for kids.

Built atop the popular Air Max 270 unit that debuted in 2018, the latest from Nike Kids focuses on young athletes at every stage and age. The silhouette features the first collapsible tailgate entry system at the heel, a choice meant to enable easy entry and exit. Like the kid’s Jordan 23/7, the new Air Max proposition opts for a lightweight, breathable upper.

Additionally, the Nike Kids team fine-tuned each version of the Air Max 270 Go in accordance to children’s development: stack heights increase as kids get bigger, while lacing systems also take motor skill development into account.

“No consumer stretches our product to the limit and is more demanding than a kid,” shared Cal Dowers, VP/GM, Global Nike Kids in an official press release. “That’s why we’ve come up with solutions that are kids-specific — in innovation and style — that meet their needs and allow them to play all day long. The Air Max 270 Go is a great example of how we do that.”

Enjoy campaign photos ahead. The pair is now available across Europe, but launches globally via nike.com on March 16. Pricing for the Air Max 270 Go is $130 for Grade School,$110 for Preschool, and $80 for Toddler sizing.
