LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.02 Releases On October 21st

LaMelo Ball is likely to miss the start of the 2022-23 NBA season due to an ankle injury, but that isn’t stopping the Charolette Hornets guard from debuting his second signature shoe outside of the Big Baller Brand: the PUMA MB.02.

A follow-up to what has been widely considered the best first signature model in recent memory, not much has changed visually on Ball and PUMA’s second proposition. The engineered woven mesh upper maintains the same lightweight and breathable experience that was celebrated on the MB.01, with fuse overlays running the length of the profiles to not only deliver durability but also nod to LaMelo Ball’s wings tattoos. Underfoot, the German sportswear institution employs its tried-and-proven NITRO foam, and is coupled with a full-coverage engineered, non-slip rubber compound perfect for the type of play the youngest Ball Brother has made a name for himself with; tread takes on a feather pattern to further reference LaMelo’s tattoos without sacrificing durability and traction.

“Working with PUMA to design the second version of my signature shoe is something I am incredibly proud of,” said LaMelo Ball in an official press release. “When creating the MB.02, we took the designs to the next level to reflect my personal style with the flames, RARE and 1 of 1 graphics and bold colors. I’m excited to see fans experience the MB franchise in a new way with the launch of MB.02.”
