LEGO Builds An adidas ZX-8000 Collaboration For A-ZX Series

LEGO Builds An adidas ZX-8000 Collaboration For A-ZX Series

Collaborations have quickly become synonymous with sneaker culture itself, most sneakerheads only interested in a release if relevant names are attached. And while artists like Travis Scott and designers like Virgil Abloh have laid claim to the past years’ most coveted, pairs such as this LEGO x adidas ZX8000 are arguably more memorable purely for how “out there” the partnership itself appears.

Though you’re unlikely to suffer injury as a result of scattered pieces, the LEGO blocks do appear on the silhouette itself as they accent both the heel counter and eye stays with the signature studs and all. The use of blue and red also seems to be a reference in and of itself, both pairing well with the equally bold green and yellow for the most signature and nostalgic set. Elsewhere, adidas delivers their expertise through ribbed white mesh and grey suede panels, a construction that lies neutral in contrast to the aforementioned and the loud “LEGO” branding that dresses the tongue.

Grab a detailed look at these here and expect a release to hit adidas.com on September 25th for a retail of $130 USD.
