Nike’s Air Max Plus has been on a tear recently. This week, a new version that borrows the classic Tiempo extended tongue has emerged, sporting a clean black leather construction.
The Nike Tiempo soccer shoe originally released in 1994, and remains one of the brand’s iconic turf silhouettes. The model has evolved and bene adapted a number of times over the years, reformatted for different sports and lifestyle uses. This week, a new pair of the Air Max Plus emerged, sporting details specifically from the original ’90s Tiempo look. This pair features a single-piece black leather upper, with stitching to outline the Plus’ usual wavy overlay. The Swooshes come in white leather, and are cut in a retro shape. The shoe’s tongues are two-fold, featuring the standard AMP tongue with the folded Tiempo style layered on top for a retro feel.
NIKE AIR MAX PLUS TIEMPO RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s modified pair of the Air Max Plus with the Tiempo tongue has not been announced for release yet, but will arrive sometime later in 2024. Featuring a clean black leather upper with bold white Swooshes, pairs will be available from Nike and select retailers, likely with an elevated price tag.
