New Balance’s 1500 is celebrating its thirty-fifth anniversary this year, and the Boston brand has new colorways from the Made in England series releasing regularly. This week, a new navy blue & grey edition emerged, coming soon.

The New Balance 1500 originally released in 1989, intended as a multi-sport shoe with a focus on basketball and tennis. The model also serves as a suitable distance running shoe, and was designed by the legendary Steven Smith with input from MIT researchers for peak performance. This year, the model has turned thirty-five years old, and the Boston brand is churning out colorways from their Made in England line to celebrate. This week, we got an early look at a simple “Navy” pair, which features a blue mesh base layer paired with midnight navy pigskin suede for the outer layers. Leather accents come in a medium grey tone, using white and light grey to balance out the rest of the color palette.
