German sneaker retailer AsphaltGold has a long and storied history of collaboration, teaming up with brands like adidas and New Balance over the years. This week, they are launching their first ever Puma project, the “Scopa” Palermo.

Puma has made a big push with their retro releases of the Palermo sneaker this year. The model originally made its debut in the early 1980s, and took hold as a staple of the terrace community frequenting futbol stadiums across Europe. Now, as the brand has revived the model, teaming up with the inimitable Dua Lipa to lead their initial campaigns. This week, fellow German brand AsphaltGold is launching their take on the model, for their first-ever team up with Puma. The AG pair is inspired by Scopa, an Italian card game that is a staple of the country’s culture. The makeup borrows colors and symbols from the game’s deck, casting the silhouette in cream nylon, light blue suede, and a bright red hint for the inner lining.
