Two years ago, Veneda Carter and Timberland released a collaborative 6-Inch Boot that was bestowed the highest honor among Timb enthusiasts: an unofficial nickname. The wheat boot with a glossy finish was dubbed “Glazed” because of its uncanny resemblance to a donut, and now it’s making a return along with two new additions to the capsule.
A restock for the patent leather 6-Inch Boot in wheat will be joined by a new version in black featuring the same material for its upper. The new colorway is rendered entirely in black and is fitted with silver hardware.
An even more extreme spin on Timberland‘s classic silhouette is also in the cards, as the Los Angeles-based designer has made stilettos with a zippered fastening. Just like the 6-Inch Boot, this new silhouette from Veneda Carter is available in wheat and black patent leather. The padded ankle collar also carries over for comfort, while the zipper pull makes use of Timberland’s striped cord.
Veneda Carter’s first run with Timberland paid homage to hip-hop culture in the ’90s and was wildly popular among Timb fans and the fashion crowd. Their second effort now comes as part of a more concerted push for the 6-Inch Boot, which turned 50 last year and was subject to a successful “Je T’imbs” campaign at Paris Fashion Week. Pharrell Williams also teased an official Louis Vuitton collaboration for the boot, which has all the makings for one of the biggest footwear moments of the year.
All four footwear styles are available beginning Tuesday through Timberland’s website and flagship stores, as well as select third-party retailers. Pricing for the 6-Inch Boot is set at $250 and the Zip Boot $275.
