Saint Laurent is giving its sleek heels a soft spin for fall 2023.
As seen in Anthony Vaccarello’s women’s shoe lineup, the French brand has released a new iteration of its popular LA mules — a slip-on style with wide peep-toe straps, almond-shaped soles and thin, 4.1-inch stiletto heels. This time, however, the shoe has been revamped in a $995 version with a textured twist.
The latest LA mules’ wide straps are covered in fluffy, warm beige faux fur, giving them a burst of texture that’s both cozy and dramatic. The fuzzy accent makes a sharp contrast compared to its smooth leather soles, cast in a complementary shade — complete with a shiny touch from “Saint Laurent”-printed insoles with gold lettering.
For those craving a darker hue, the slick shoes are also cast in a second $995 colorway, featuring an allover monochrome palette of deep chocolate brown.
Completing the range is a third style, crafted with smooth gray uppers and black leather insoles. This suede iteration retails for $1,090, while its faux fur straps are cast in the same tonal shade.
Saint Laurent’s fall 2023 collection features an array of slick heels, inspired by ’80s elegance and dynamic “power dressing.” The French brand’s latest lineup includes a wide variety of slingback pumps with coated and metallic stiletto heels, as well as platform sandals, slip-on heeled mules and loafers in hues of black, brown and dark purple. Completing the range are a variety of heeled boots and booties, crafted from smooth glossy leather for a slick finish.
