Marni is bringing its own take to the Mary Jane shoe trend this fall — as seen in its newest footwear lineup.
Within Marni’s fall 2023 shoe assortment, the label has introduced a pair of its staple Pablo sneakers with new uppers instantly reminiscent of the preppy shoe detail. The resulting pair of $995 Pablo Mary Jane sneakers features the style’s signature rounded silhouette and thick rubber soles, complete with a wider upper opening that’s topped with adjustable Mary Jane straps.
The hybrid shoe is also given a quirky twist from its color palette, as well. The style includes smooth, glossy black patent leather uppers covered in white polka dots, punctuated with matte black leather trim for a sharp accent.
Aside from its polka-dot iteration, Marni’s Mary Jane sneakers also come in an array of colors and textures on its website — which includes a fuchsia style with allover calf hair, as well as matte leather versions in hues of black, brown, lilac and more.
Marni is the latest fashion brand to lean into the trend of Mary Janes – a strap-topped shoe style with vintage origins that’s faced a massive comeback in 2023. The shoe has been most popularly revived in an array of ballet flats with various colors, textures and finishes, as seen in new collections from brands ranging from Stuart Weitzman to Alaïa. Other brands have also cast Mary Janes in a lineup of block-heeled and platform pumps, including Jacquemus, Gianvito Rossi and Eckhaus Latta.
Currently, Marni’s fall 2023 footwear collection includes an array of its signature Pablo sneakers, revamped in textures from smooth leather to tufted calfskin.
