Dr. Martens is redefining the modern biker boot with their new heeled Gaya style.
Just in time for the fall season, their Gaya 10i heeled boot comes in a range of sizes. The new and improved leather style is inspired by traditional biker footwear and allows the wearer to stand up and stand out, elevated thanks to block heels. The boot also features a mixed-leather construction, perfectly marrying both height and style.
Specifically, the Gaya boot is made of Sendal, a semi-aniline, natural-looking Nappa leather featuring a plush and smooth full-grain finish. The Gaya features a molded soft Patent PU leather heel counter, glossy capped toes, sleek black lace-up closures and ankle straps for an adjustable fit.
Additionally, the footwear includes archive-inspired Dr. Martens branded tongue patches while the tops of the boot are fastened with a black and yellow heel loop. Rounding out the style, the Gaya is all sat atop chunky flared rubber heels and thick soles in black secured in place with Dr. Martens’ instantly recognizable yellow welt stitching.

The company originally began making humble workwear boots and even sold their wears as gardening shoes at one point. The inventor of Dr. Martens Klaus Marten was a doctor in the German Army during World War II. The brand’s name references the inventor’s former profession.
The shoe style we know today was created in Germany and became a huge part of popular culture. The brand’s iconic yellow-stitched footwear was massive in the grunge and punk scene in the ’90s, and has since become a closet staple for many generations.
