Clarks and Martine Rose Debut Shoe Collection With Retro-Inspired ‘Coming Up Roses’ Campaign

Clarks has teamed up with designer Martine Rose for their spring 2024 collection, which was first seen at Rose’s spring 2024 fashion show in June 2023. Now, both brands have released the full “Coming Up Roses” collection with an accompanying campaign revealed this Monday.

For the collaboration, Rose took on four silhouettes from the Clarks archive: the Oxford, Loafer, Sandal and Torhill Hi, which is a descendant of Clarks’ Wallabee set. The collection reiterated the iconic styles in different colorways including oxblood, brazen pink, brown and green and black.

The “Coming Up Roses” shoes are composed of leather and nylon textures, some including snakeskin prints. The Loafer style is completed with a platform sole and a unique inflated heel that adds about 3 inches of height to any look. The duo designed the shoes with ultra-cushioned details, like the padded topline, which is the main theme of the campaign.

The “Coming Up Roses” campaign focuses on the comfortability of the footwear collection with black and white images of retro bedroom vignettes. The idea was inspired by Clarks’ advertising from the 1980s, where beds were used to convey the comfort of the British brand’s footwear.

Clarks is very familiar with collaborating with other designers and artists. Throughout the years, the brand has been able to highlight its quality construction techniques through partnerships with top stars and brands like Wu-Tang Clan, Supreme and Stüssy.

The “Coming Up Roses” collection is now available on Martine Rose’s website.
