Travis Scott Trots Out a New Jordan Cut the Check Colorway

Travis Scott has delivered one hit after another through his collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand, but he’ll soon have a sneaker to call his and his alone.

The Jordan Cut the Check, Scott’s first signature sneaker, is expected to release during the upcoming holiday season. Scott has worn a black and white version of the shoe throughout the year, and on Wednesday night he debuted a more colorful iteration while performing at Drake’s tour stop in Vancouver.

Images posted to Scott’s Instagram give a great look at this second colorway, which sees a sand-tone upper sandwiched between more vibrant features. The two-piece midsole sees a bright yellow on the portion that extends to the outsole, while the sockliner peeks out in turquoise. Black adorns the tongue, collar, and the rest of the midsole. The Swooshes, which appear backward on the lateral side and in the normal direction on the medial, appear in white to match the Jumpman logo on the tongue.

The list of people to get a signature sneaker under the Jordan Brand is short, and the subset of those who haven’t played basketball professionally starts and ends with Scott. The Cut the Check’s status as a first for both Scott and Jordan Brand should therefore make it the most anticipated new model from the brand outside of the Air Jordan line.

Both Jordan Brand and Scott have kept tight lips on any Cut the Check details, but we could start hearing more soon if the model does indeed launch during the holiday season. Add in the Travis Scott x Nike Mac Attack reportedly slated for the same time period, and La Flame is due to have a chokehold on the end of the year.
