The Nike SB Dunk Low Will Return In Its Beloved ‘Wheat’ Colorway

“Wheat” sneakers are a fixture of fall for ‘heads, as the light brown color is a go-to every time the leaves start changing colors and dropping off. Next month will see the return of the widely popular and pioneering Air Jordan 13 “Wheat,” and now Nike has confirmed a restock for a staple from its skateboarding division.

The SB Dunk Low Pro “Wheat” has been confirmed for an early-November release as round two for the sneaker that originally released in 2021. Just like before, the namesake color fully consumes the suede upper, with a slightly different shade forming the liner, tongue, and laces. The midsole and branding then arrive in a darker “baroque” brown for a bit of contrast, while the crisp fall sneaker is finished off with an always-welcomed gum outsole.

While not a one-to-one recreation, this iteration of the SB Dunk Low “Wheat” harkens all the way back to pro skater Reese Forbes’ version of the shoe from 2002, which was only the second shoe from Nike SB to make use of suede. Even more unconventional was its use of pig suede instead of cow suede for the underlays — giving two distinct textures to go along with its tonal color-blocking. Another “Wheat” release took on a two-tone look in 2017, and throughout the years the SB Dunk Mid and High have also taken on the work boot-inspired look that is “Wheat.”

The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Wheat” will release Nov. 3 through the SNKRS app and local skate shops. Retails is set at $115.
