Kyrie Irving’s Anta Logo Has Been Unveiled in China

Kyrie Irving‘s Chinese promotional tour for Anta has seen the reveal of his now logo, which has been dubbed, “Enlightened Warrior.”

The mark sees Irving’s no. 11 surrounded by mirrored Ks, which Anta says not only represents Kyrie, but also “knowing oneself.” Less overtly, the logo is also intended as a reflection of the Dallas Mavericks point guard’s “focus, agility, and speed on the court, as well as his commitment to family and community off the court.”

In promotion of the logo reveal, Anta has put up 11 murals in Los Angeles, New York City, Dallas, and Newark, N.J. incorporating hieroglyphics related to Irving’s life and career.

Irving and Anta announced their partnership in July after Nike let go of the NBA star late last year because of his promotion of a film featuring antisemitic views. Irving held out on denouncing antisemitism for days and only apologized following a suspension from the Brooklyn Nets, his team prior to being traded to the Mavericks.

The Anta deal sees Irving serving as the brand’s creative officer of basketball, a role that will see him recruit other basketball players, as well as collaborators and entertainment figures. Irving’s first signature sneaker is planned for a reveal in the first quarter of 2024.

Upon announcing his new home at Anta, Irving said: “Being appointed as Anta Basketball’s chief creative officer is more than just a realization of my dreams; in fact, it may be the perfect opportunity for me, an individual who always dreams big and values independent thinking, to leverage my artistic talents to build, create, and unify the culture both on and off court.”
