Korn and Adidas’ first official collaboration was a long time coming when it dropped last fall, but the two partners are quickly reuniting for another take on the Campus sneaker.
The Korn x Adidas Campus 2.0 will arrive midway through May as a follow-up to the Campus 00s that released in October. Clad in a grey suede upper, the Campus 2.0 largely follows the same formula as the Campus 00s.
Mismatched mustache branding sees the Adidas logo on the left shoe and Korn’s on the right, and the arrangement is reversed with the same marks on the tongue. The debossed gold “Campus” text next to the Three Stripes motif once again utilizes Korn’s famous font, and “A.D.I.D.A.S.” now appears in green on the inner-tongue to invoke the 1996 song of the same name, which stands for, “All day I dream about sex.” A translucent gum outsole also returns, but this time it sits beneath a faux-aged white midsole.
Once again, the sneaker will also come in a special box modeled after travel cases for touring with a guitar pick keychain, extra laces and a set of stickers. Custom insoles now feature the album artwork for “Follow the Leader,” whereas the Campus 00s opted for “Life Is Peachy.”
A new Supermodified variant breaks from the largely colorless pattern with a burgundy suede and canvas upper featuring green branding throughout. It will release alongside a run of apparel and accessories including a graphic T-shirt, socks and cap.
Korn took to performing in Adidas tracksuits of their own volition and were gifted products from the band before it inked a deal with Puma in 1998. That was as formal of a relationship as Korn and Adidas had until last year, when the retro-inspired Campus 00s and previously obscure Supermodified sneakers released alongside apparel for their collaborative debut.
While the aughts-inspired Campus 00s only made its debut in 2022, the Campus 2.0 dates back to 1987, 14 years after the first version of the sneaker launched.
The Korn x Adidas Campus 2 will release May 15 through the Confirmed app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $120.
