K-Swiss Travels Back to the ’90s With New Slamm 99 CC Sneaker

K-Swiss is looking to their past for the release of their new shoe, Slamm 99 CC.

The Slamm 99 CC has elements from their 90s skate sneaker. However, this new reimagined design offers a lifestyle silhouette and aesthetic, making it a modern interpretation. Combining elements from the past and present, the Slamm 99 CC can be worn both on and off the court, making it a go-to shoe for workout wear or leisure.

The Slamm 99 CC, which builds on K-Swiss’ staple 1999 classic Ascendo, arrives in two colorways — “Peacoat” — featuring hints of dark blue — and “Raspberry” — consisting of elements of hot pink.

Since being founded in 1966, K-Swiss has been a popular sneaker brand for Tennis, as it became the first all-leather Tennis sneaker shoe. K-Swiss has comprised a variety of fan favorites over the years, including the K-Swiss Slammklub CC Sneaker, which is inspired by classic tennis shoe features.

The Slamm 99 CC is releasing on March 6, retailing at $85, and will be available for purchase on the K-Swiss website and select third-party retailers.

This isn’t the first time K-Swiss has looked back at the ’90s for inspiration. In 2022, the tennis brand teamed up with New York-based label Rowing Blazers for a ’90s-inspired tennis capsule, which included the Sci-18 sneaker.

“I’ve been wearing K-Swiss since I was a kid, and the Si-18 is an iconic tennis shoe in a way that just a small number of sneakers are truly important in the history of athletic footwear. So this collaboration is very meaningful for me,” said Rowing Blazers’ Jack Carlson at the time.
