NBA Star Anthony Edwards Gifts the NC State Women’s and Men’s College Basketball Teams His AE 1 Shoe Ahead of the Final Four

The NC State women’s and men’s college basketball teams are set to play in the Final Four. NBA star Anthony Edwards made sure they will hit the court in style.

On Thursday, the Minnesota Timberwolves baller gifted both NC State teams pairs of his court-ready Adidas AE 1 signature shoe, specifically the black and white “Best of Adi” colorway.

“Congratulations to the women’s and men’s team making the Final Four,” Edwards said in a video sent to the teams. “I just wanted to tell you guys that I’m going to gift you with some AE 1s. Go win it. Ya’ll keep hooping. It’s exciting to watch you guys get past and I hope you guys win the championship.”

What’s more, Indiana Fever guard Erica Wheeler — an Adidas athlete — visited the women’s squad when they received their sneakers.

Aside from the AE 1, both teams received several other Adidas products. In terms of footwear, the players were gifted pairs of the Response CL collaboration with music megastar Bad Bunny, as well as an Ultraboost. As for Edwards-specific product, the players received the AE 1 hoodie, AE 1 short and AE 1 shirts.

Other items the players received include the ZNE Tracksuit, the Chapter Sweatsuit, sunglasses, a cross body bag, a Y3 beanie and a bucket hat.

On the women’s side of the tournament, NC State will face South Carolina on Friday to determine who will play in the championship game. It will air live via ESPN at 7 p.m. ET. As for the men, NC State will take on Purdue on Saturday at 6:09 p.m. ET. There are several ways to watch, including via TBS and TNT.
