The Air Jordan 11 ‘Gratitude’ Will Release as a Highlight of Many Sneakerheads’ Holidays

The Air Jordan 11 is a fixture of the holiday season, and this year’s spotlight of the silhouette will harken back to the “Defining Moments” pack from 2006.

Official images have surfaced for the Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” which has already been confirmed by Jordan Brand for the holiday season but had yet to get a full 360-degree look. The same white, black, and gold will return for the one-off release — but with one major difference to be found.

Whereas the top-half of the upper for the 2006 version used ballistic mesh, this iteration opts for a premium pebbled leather instead. The translucent outsole also takes on slightly yellow tone instead of blue to match the gold-tone embellishments, but apart from that this Air Jordan 11 looks the same as the one that released alongside the black and gold Air Jordan 6 for the first-ever multi-sneaker pack Jordan Brand released.

The Air Jordan 11 is one of the most popular silhouettes from the entire series, with its only real competition being the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3. Besides one colorway being worn by Michael Jordan for his fourth NBA title and another featuring in Space Jam, Jordan Brand trotting out a version each December has helped to further ingratiate the model in the hearts of sneakerheads.

Given that this will be the first chance to buy the Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude,” formerly known as “DMP,” since 2006 and the first chance to ever buy it on its own, expect a massive amount of fanfare no matter how big the stock is.

The Air Jordan 11 “Dedication” has been widely reported for a Dec. 9 release through the SNKRS app and select additional retailers. The retail price will be set at $230.
