Loewe Releases Men’s Boots Covered in Faux Fur for Fall 2023

Loewe is taking a fluffy approach to fall footwear this season.

Within the Spanish brand’s most recent men’s shoe range, creative director Jonathan Anderson has released a whimsically soft take on his signature Toy boot. In a departure from the designer’s signature slouchy knee-high style, which features a square-toed “petal” base, this iteration has been revamped in a $1,450 version with fluffy faux fur across its uppers.

The aforementioned brown leather boot includes flat soles for added practicality, while its shafts are coated in beige, light and dark brown uppers reminiscent of animal skins. The vegan detailing adds a burst of eclectic flair to the simple yet artisanal shoe, which was also seen in Loewe’s fall 2023 men’s fashion show in January — where it was styled for the runway with an olive green silk tank top and matching shorts.

Aside from this fur-like version of its Toy boots, Anderson’s fall 2023 men’s shoe assortment for Loewe includes a wide range of leather derby shoes, smooth slippers and foam thong slides in hues of brown, black, beige, green and more. The line also features multiple colorways of the brand’s retro Flow Runner lace-up sneakers, as well as its brushed suede ankle boots — which, aside from being a go-to shoe for Anderson, were also worn by stars including Troye Sivan, Kit Connor and Filippo Scotti during Loewe’s spring 2024 fashion show in June.
