Crocs teamed up with Barney, bringing the beloved purple dinosaur to life with their latest collaboration.
Celebrating the children’s show “Barney & Friends,” Crocs launched a Barney-inspired Classic Clog in kids, toddlers and adult sizes via their website on Tuesday, accompanied by an array of colorful Jibbitz. The collaborative clog retails for $70 for adults, $54.99 for kids and $50 for toddlers. The limited-edition style is cast in bright purple and green spotted foam, accompanied by the friendly dino’s yellow foot detailing on the toes in a 3D molded style.
Additionally, the nostalgic footwear includes bright green lining featuring the Barney logo on the insoles and “I Love You” and “You Love Me.” embossed lettering on the pivoting backstraps. As always, Crocs’ Classic Clog style is waterproof, lightweight, breathable and easy to slip on and off. The clogs are built with comfort in mind, fitted with plush and supporting soles and ventilation holes on the toes which wearers can pop Jibbitz into.
Accompanying the Barney-inspired clog is a variety of Jibbitz sold singularly or in a pack of five depicting Barney along with some of the dinosaurs including BJ and Baby Bop. The five-pack also includes stars, hearts, and rainbow motifs, which prospective buyers can use to customize their clogs or slides endlessly.
Beyond Barney, Crocs also recently announced its collaboration with fellow cartoon character Hello Kitty. The footwear brand is taking the cartoon character’s likeness, interpreting her colors and iconic bow motif into a Classic Clog style.
The footwear, which will retail for $70 via Foot Locker, will feature white uppers, a sturdy red heel strap paying homage to the kitty’s bow and a bright blue midsole that mimics the look of Hello Kitty’s overalls. Fans of the cartoon kitty can expect the shoes to drop in a variety of sizes via crocs.com on Jan. 17. The clogs will also be available for purchase via footlocker.com.
