Lyst has officially revealed the top fashion products in the world — and shoes are at the forefront.

The analysis platform’s quarterly Lyst Index — which showcases the top products and brands internationally, based on shopping searches and sales — revealed that Miu Miu is the world’s top brand for 2023, followed by Loewe, Prada and Bottega Veneta. In a notable addition to the list, Ferragamo has entered the Index’s Top 20 section since the Index was first released in 2018.

Where specific products are concerned, Maison Margiela‘s Tabi Mary Jane shoes topped the world’s list of most-desired products — notably following a 342% rise in searches after this fall’s viral “Tabi Swiper” series of TikTok videos. Miu Miu’s logo cardigan took the second spot as the most-wanted product, with other entries including COS’ quilted bag and Birkenstock‘s Arizona sandals — particularly from a 110% rise in searches 48 hours after the premiere of Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” following a viral scene featuring the double-strapped sandals.

Below, discover more of the notable mentions from The Lyst Index’s third quarter of 2023.

Maison Margiela’s Tabi Mary Janes soar from viral ‘Tabi Swiper’ TikTok videos

Maison Margiela has taken the top spot as Lyst’s most-wanted product around the world. The cult-favorite style, featuring its namesake split-toe silhouette, particularly rose in popularity in September following the spread of the “Tabi Swiper” videos on TikTok from designer Alexis Dougè. A 342% rise in searches for the shoe, which features the split-toe shape within a leather Mary Jane-style ballet flat, soon followed.

Miu Miu is the most-wanted brand in the world

Miu Miu took the title of the top brand in the world for Lyst in the Index’s third quarter, rising three spots to overtake Loewe, which previously topped the list in 2023’s second quarter. This season, the Miuccia Prada-helmed brand experienced a 16% rise in searches, while demand also rose for its Arcadie handbags and hit ballet flats — which have also earned a celebrity following from stars including Bella Hadid, Ariana Grande and Vanessa Hudgens in 2023.

Birkenstock’s Arizona sandals go viral from “Barbie”

Birkenstock’s Arizona sandals returned to The Lyst Index this season, marking their third time being featured in the list. The moment is primarily owed to the shoe having two notable cameos in Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” film — which led to a 110% rise in searches within 48 hours of the film’s release.

Nike and Martine Rose’s ongoing collaboration included the hybrid square-toed Shoe MR4 mules, complete with sneaker-like fronts in vibrant ombré hues. The shoe style, which dropped in the pair’s fall 2023 collection shortly before the women’s World Cup, experienced a 70% rise in searches to make it the quarter’s fourth most-wanted product.

New Balance’s 550 sneakers receive the “Taylor Swift effect” from Travis Kelce courtship

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s emerging relationship provided a strong boost for New Balance — whose 550 sneakers Swift wore in a black, white and red colorway to Kelce’s game in September, marking one of the first confirmed sightings of the celebrity couple. Searches for the sneakers rose by 44% following the occasion, and have since sold out — simultaneously in tandem with Kelce’s jersey sales rising by 400%, deeming the high demand as the “Taylor Swift effect.”
