Adidas Originals and Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace gathered a fashionable crowd of characters for a rollerskating New York Fashion Week event, held at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, on the night of Sept. 11. The event aimed at capturing the essence of the Adidas Superstar.
To commemorate the moment, the footwear brand came together with Flipper’s to reinvent the Superstar style, turning it into a detachable roller skate. Both brands also created a signature tracksuit for the occasion.
Notable attendees included TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney, “What We Do In The Shadows” star Harvey Guillén, Meek Mill, Saweetie and Nick Cannon among others. Participants strapped into rollerskates and boogied down to the sounds of DJ T.J. Mizell and DJ Quiana Parks in order to celebrate Adidas’ heritage and impact. Additionally, attendees enjoyed signature sips by CÎROC Ultra-Premium Vodka, Tanqueray Gin, Tequila Don Julio and Seedlip Non-Alcoholic Spirits.
Founded in 2001, Adidas Originals is a subdivision of Adidas that is primarily dedicated to fashion, lifestyle and heritage-based products. Adidas Originals product is marked by their iconic Trefoil which was first utilized by the brand in 1972.

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is held in New York City in September, marking the start of Fashion Month. The spring 2024 season will see a calendar of fashion shows and presentations from a range of designers, including Ralph Lauren, Christian Siriano, Proenza Schouler and more. The occasion will also include numerous parties and activations from brands like Aldo, J.Crew, MCM and more.
